Uthamar kovil is one of the divyadesmas for lord vishnu in south india and worshiped goddess lakshmi as poornavalli. the feature of this temple is famous for worshiping trimurties, brahma, vishnu and mahadeva. uthamar kovil located at thiruchirappalli of tamilnadu. it is the great example of dravida style of architecture in tamilnadu. this place was known as pichandar kovil, lord shiva was relieved all doshas here. trichy located at the banks of river cauvery. it is not a very huge structure looking very simple without rajagoprams. Varadaraja Perumal, Mahalakshmi, Venogopala Krishna, Sri Rama with Sita and Lakshmana, Goddess Saraswathi, Sri Ramanujacharya, Sri Kulashekara Alwar, Manavalan Mamunkal, Anjaneya, Garuda and Thirumangai Alwar are the sub deities inside the temple complex.

There are six daily rituals conducting in the temple. Bramotsavam festival hosts here annually on november or december,m during this festival the images of lord shiva and vishnu carried out from the sanctum forthe procession around the streets of the temple, other main festivals hosts at uthamar kovil are rama navami, vaikunda ekadshi,pongal,diwali etc. childless couple pray here for seeking the birth of a child. temple is open at 6.00 am to 12.30 pm for the morning rituals and from 4.30 pm to to 8.00 pm for evening rituals

There are lot of devotees reach at the temple to have the blessings of trimurthys and sub deities, it is very easy to locate at the destination, srirangam is the nearest rail head which is very close to uthamar kovil, little fr away from the spot. trichy is the nearest major city, which is about 10 km away. trichy is also another rail head to the temple which is about 10 km away. trichy is well connect to the main cities by buses. the nearest airport is located at trichy at a distance of 15 km.
