Divya prabandha is the early medieval tamil canon of the azhwar saints popular for glorifying lord vishnu. India is the country showing the great unity in diversity, in such a way Ulagalandha Perumal Temple is the great example of dravidan style of architecture. Divya desams are the holy places for praising lord vishnu, there are 108 divya desams totally belongs to divyadesams. Ulagalandha Perumal Temple located at kanchipuram district in tamilnadu. The presiding deity of ulagalandha is lord vishnu with his consort lakshmi as amudhavalli. actually this kovil holds four main divya desams. which are Thirukkarvaanam, Thirukaaragam, Thiruneeragam, and Thiruooragam.

Tiruooragam is the central shrine of the temple which also known as peragam, the snake gods such as adisesha aare holds in Tiruooragam. devotees headed to Tiruooragam for submitting their offerings especially childless couple to have the child. Tirukkarvanam is the shrine which located in the second precinct and Tirukkaragam loacted on the third precinct of the kovil. according to the hindu legends sage garga performed his penance here and hence this palce known as garaham and then karagam. tiruneerkakam is the temple without the presiding deity. naga theertha and sesha theertha are the holy temple tanks located outside of the kovil.

Ulagalandha Perumal Temple Located at Kancheepuram

Ulagalandha Perumal Temple holds the fifth avatar of lord vishnu known as mahabali, inside the sanctum which is in the pose of right leg placed on the head of mahabali. this kovil has a unique peculiarity by which its holds four divya desams inside a main temple complex. there are six daily rituals performed according to the tantric rules. except the daily rituals there re performing weekly, monthly and for nightly rituals. brahmotsavam and vamana jayanti are the two main festivals mainly host here. vamana jayanthi falls in tamil month avani and brahmotsvam usually celebrates during tamil month thai.
