Kanipakam Vinayaka Temple is an ancient hindu temple dedicate to lord vinayaka or ganapathy, the temple was built around 11th century. lord vinayaka is the god of prevent the all obstacles in the human life. the holy temple is one of the attraction of the pilgrimages in Andhra Pradesh. Kanipakam Vinayaka Temple is situated at chittoor district in Andhra Pradesh. hindu devotees performing poojas to lord vinayaka initially so that vinayaka also known as vighneswara.

the temple structure is a great contribution of chola dynasty by the king of chola named kulothunga chola 1. it is believed that the the idol of lord vinayaka is self manifested so that the temple known as swayambhu sri varasiddhi vinayaka swami temple. the temple timings is from 4.00 am to 9.00 pm daily. brahmotsavam is the main festival of the temple.

It says that there were three brothers each of them was handicapped, one was dumb, second one deaf and the last one was blind. However the three brothers worked very hard in their small piece of land for surviving, once they try to brought the water from the piccota system, but it was dry, then one of the brother started digging the well further, during the process an iron stone found there, it was filled with blood, the brothers became shocked after saw the blood, when the incident was happened the all disabilities was cured without any treatments.

after hearing the news, the villagers tried to further deepen the well in spite of constant trying they could not do it as by then lord vinayaka’s idol had self manifested itself, which explored out of the water source of the well. APRTC buses are frequently available from chittoor to Kanipakam Vinayaka Temple is about 12 km distance, the nearest rail head also at chittoor. the nearest possible airport is focused at thirupathi at a distance of 83 km.
