Thalipparambu sree rajarajeswara temple is one of the ancient shiva temples and is located at thaliparambu in kannur district,the original date of the temple built is unknown but the modern temple is built in 1000 CE,the expertness of chola dynasty can be see in the temple architecture,and also kerala architecture pictured throughout the temple.mythology says that by the thandavam of shiva with body of sati,her head falls here and hence the temple is formed,and also believes that the lord sree rama visited here during the journey to Lanka,the principal deity shiva is worshiped in the form of rajarajeswara,the idol of the temple rajarajeswra is three eyes of god shiva covered with gold,it is a variety thing among other shiva temples in kerala.the sub deities of the temple are lord krishna,yakshi,rishabha etc.lord krishna in this temple performing in krishna with floot is posture present here,lot of devotees reach here for the blessings.

The main offerings are neyy vilakku and neyy amrith in the temple,thali pooja to goddess,There are four Thanthris belonging to four Illams such as Poonthottathil Pudayoor Mana, Eruvesi Pudayoor Mana Edavalath Pudayoor Mana and Naduvath Pudayoor Mana. The present Thatris are Brahmasri P.P. Vasudevan Namboodiri, Brahmasri P.P. Pandurangan Namboodiri, Brahmasri E.P. Harijayandan Namboodiri, Brahmasri E.P. Kuberan Namboodiripad and Brahmasri N.P. Vasudevan Namboodiri.the main festival hosted by this temple is sivarathri,malayalam new year,amavasy and poornima.

Pooja timings start from 5 am with opening,closes 12 noon.evening opening at 5.00 pm and closes 8.pm after all rituals.the temple situated in NH17 and 23 km away from kannur city,the distance between the temple and kasargod is 135 km,the nearest railway stations are kannur and payyannur,there are lot of bus services available to reach the temple,the temple administrated by malabar devaswom board,the nearby places are pazhayangadi,cherukunnu and parassinikkadav,meenkunnu beach,payyambalam beach etc.non hindus must prohibited from this temple.
