Kettukazhcha is the main ceremony that occupying the colorful kettukazcha event. this is the mass festival in southern kerala and is became most spectacular by massive images of bulls indicating nandikesha. fifteen teritories of the temple are equally take part in the festival. most of the bulls more than 50 feet in size. these bulls are pulled by the villagers from their territory and then to the temple. there is not a particular idol for worship. the image of OM carved inn a stone and is placed under the tree. devotees got bhasma instead of sandal paste instead of other temples.

Fourty one days lasting mandala kala vrata is the spiritual days started from the first day of malayalam month vrichikam. vrata of 41 days completed in the compound of the temple by builting the huts and the devotees take part in bhajana. this is actually a worship to lord shiva for fulfill the wishes of devotees.
