Neelamperoor padayani host on either august or September, ‘annam kettu’ is the display of large effigies is the core part of the event. the procession of these images will be in night time. thousands of devotees reach here to enjoy the spectacular event. which are showing the mythological characters from mahbharata and ramayana etc. the initial step of padyani called choottuvaikkal. the grand festival takes place on pooram day of malayalam month chingam. The celebrations have gone through various stages depicting poomaram, thattukuda, paravalayam, kudaneerthu, plavilakkolam, kodikoora and kaval pisachu.
