Mannarasala Temple Vazhipadu Details – Sree Nagaraja Temple

Mannarasala temple is located in harippad,alappuzha district.the principal deity nagaraja enshrined here,there are different stories can be hearing the origin f the temple although here is the protective area of ecosystem,because many creatures reserved here especially snakes.snakes are worshiped here. The two main idols are nagaraja or the serpent king and his consort, Sarpayakshini.There is a former mother belong to this temple,she was brahmin lady,she had done the nagapooja.now the nagapooja leaded by valiya amma uma devi antharjanam. mannarasala ayilyam is a special festival here the snakes appeared to accept the offerings noorum palum.
