Thripputh is one of the main festival related with this kerala temple. Thripputh is the monthly mensuration of devi,during this period devi shift to another place. Varshikotsavam, Thulasamkrama Neyyattu, Shivratri and Chitra Pournami are the other major festivals of this shiva temple. (Twenty eight day long annual festival ( December-Januaray).

Temple opening daily at 03:50 A.M, Nada Thurakkal (Opening ) 04:30 A.M and Abhishekam 05:00 A.M to 05:30 A.M. Ganapathi Homam Will take place at 05:30 A.M and Usha Pooja at 05:45 A.M to 07:00 A.M. Sreebali starts at 7.30 A.M and Panthiradi Pooja at 08:30 A.M. Mrithyunjaya Homam 09:30 A.M ,Navakam Kalasha Pooja at 10:00 A.M ,Ucha Pooja 11:00 A.M and closing 11:30 A.M. Evening pooja will starts with the opening at 05:00 P.M , Chengannur mahadeva kshetram Deeparadhana at 06:30 P.M to 07:00 P.M, Athazha Pooja at 07:30 P.M, Sree Bali 08:00 P.M

During sabarimala season lot of devotees passing through this area, nearest railway station is chengannur. ksrtc bus stand also very near to this temple. you can reach here using private and public transport vehicles. parking space is available infront of temple and near.
