Temple festivals

chakkulathukavu devi temple located 30 km east from alappuzha, during the ponkala day . the devotees take part in the festival, dedicate the ponkala offering at the most nearest places, but it spread to many areas especially to other taluk and districts. ponkala offering is a payasam making procedure at the paths by the blessings of goddess durga. pongala nivedyam is the sweet dish made with rice, jaggery, coconut milk, cashew, cardamom etc. this procedure carried out in a clay pot. after complete the process of dish making, goddess durga procession reach at every devotee for complete the process.
